Commander Stephen Starbuck 

I a m a candidate running for Dist. 20 Jr Vice Commander for the 2024/25

year. I am a 20-year Life member ofthe VFW. I have had the privilege to

be Commander and fundraise for Post 7108 and want to continue and grow

those programs for District 20. I am a retired Army Special Operations

Sergeant Major. I served 26.5 years before sustaining injuries that

prevented me from continuing my career.

Service: A decorated Desert Storm,

Afghanistan, Iraq, and Horn of Africa.

Served in the United States Army from 1989 to 2016 whose Awards

include Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Award (with 2 Device), Meritorious

Service Medals (3 Device), Army Commendation Medal (7 Devices),

Presidential Unit Citation. National Service Commendation, Combat

Infantry Badge (2 Awards), The Order of Saint Maurice, and the Winfield

Scott Medallion.

Education: Bachelor of Science (BSBM) in Business Management

with minors in Financial Analysis and

Global Business Strategy. Joint Service Senior Enlisted

Academy Graduate. Negotiation and Mediation Program Graduate.

Other: Comrade Starbuck is married and has two daughters and two

grandsons. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I would like to apply

my skills in the betterment of District 20
