June 8 - The Women Veterans of San Antonio will host the Texas Women Veterans Day event at SAC Victory Center 1819 N. Main Ave., San Antonio, TX 78212 where the presentation will also be displayed in efforts for recruitment and community engagement. | |

Circle of Arms Annual Mental Wellness Day at Canyon Lake (May 26)
Organization dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for mental health support in veteran, women, and minority communities. Second Annual Mental Wellness Day at Canyon Lake. food, non-alcoholic drinks will be provided, first come-first serve. We're asking if you attend, please register and bring a store-bought side or dessert.

Wonder Woman Wednesdays (Every other Wednesday)
Camp SHiEld creates a place to gather online with your peers and share experiences without judgment. Some weeks will feature planned topics for discussion and others may be a session full of our Women Vets who just need to vent in a safe space. Regardless of the weekly topic, it will always be a forum to connect with your sisters-in-arms with similar experiences and backgrounds.

Art Spark Texas Women Veterans Strong (May 9, June 13, July 11, Aug. 8)
Art Spark Texas challenges perceptions of how people contribute by creating an arts-inspired, inclusive community of individuals with diverse abilities. Women Veterans Strong is a virtual meeting on the second Thursday of the month from 7-8 PM Central Time on Zoom. Network with other women veterans and participate in a craft or other creative activity. A virtual group for women vets to connect, create, and converse.

Red, Wine, & Blue - Women Veterans Day Event (June 13)
Join Circle of Arms on an evening filled with food, music, art, poetry, raffles, wine/liquor (cash bar) at The Skyline that has the most amazing views of the city. Soldier’s Angels Food Distribution
Soldiers’ Angels provide Service Members and Veterans in need during the Military and Veteran Food Distribution event. Service Members and Veterans must register ahead of time to receive support. This event occurs on the third Thursday of every month from 12 – 2 pm CT: 2024: May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, November 21, December 19 at University Methodist Church 5185 De Zavala Rd 78249. Registration is required prior to the event. |

V-WISE helps women veterans and female military spouses/partners find their passion and learn the business savvy skills necessary to turn an idea or start-up into a growing venture. American Corporate Partners Women’s Veteran Mentoring Program ACP connects female veterans with female entrepreneurs and business leaders for enhanced, one-on-one yearlong mentorships. ACP hand selects a Mentor for each veteran based on her career and professional development goals. Veterans are mentored on topics ranging from building a civilian-friendly résumé or managing work-life balance to refining leadership and networking skills. |
YOUTH AND FAMILIES
Soldiers’ Angels Virtual Baby Showers Soldier’s Angels provides virtual baby showers for expectant families of the military community, including veterans and their spouses. Eligible expectant mothers will receive purchased baby items to help your family prepare for your new little bundle of joy. They may also put their personal sewing and crafting talents to use and lovingly create handmade baby gifts, including blankets and booties. In addition, mothers will receive a special gift box from Soldiers’ Angels. |

Camp Corral Summer Programs Provides free of charge summer camps for military children. Camp Corral is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of children of this nation’s wounded, ill, and fallen military heroes. Camp Corral has served children from every state in the nation with resilience-based programs focused upon the unique attributes and challenges shared by military-connected children across the country. Applications are open now for Summer 2024. |

Project Sanctuary Retreat (Couples July 19-24, Family Sept. 6-11) Project Sanctuary Project Sanctuary believes that when one person serves, the whole family serves. One of the only organizations that supports not just the veteran, but the whole family, including caregivers, to create multi-generational change toward positive healthy habits for at-risk military families.
